A luxury floral and event design company seeking production manager to work in a high paced studio, leading events throughout the DC area. We are seeking a professional and reliable candidate with excellent communication, decision maker & leadership skills. Your day to day

As Event Production Manager you’ll act as both an ambassador for DBO and trusted partner to manage and connect the internal team to deliver a seamless experience for our clients and vendor partners. We want to see enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and the organizational skills required to not leave anything about an event to chance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Serves as principal liaison for all vendors i.e. planners, vendors, caterers and staff with regards to all facets of the logistical operations and support of multiple programs and events.

  • Act as a point person to manage logistics & budgets between client & internal operations team

  • Provide creative suggestions to enhance the event’s success

  • Participate in every step of the sales process, from initial consultation, to mock-up design presentation, to day-of set-up production.

  • Participates in site visits in determination of requirements as to space design, logistics, transportation and recommends associated budget/cost proposals for such events to ensure cost effectiveness.

  • For approved events, the Event Manager will be the lead liaison to ensure all guidelines are being followed, provide secure walk-throughs and set-up floral arrangements, decor and provide day-of supervision to the rest of the design team.

  • Works to ensure proper communication of information is passed along to the team regarding each event to ensure flawless execution.

  • Supervises, manages, trains and evaluates appropriate staff in the production of all events.

  • This role will coordinate staffing and other logistics, and follow up on post-event details such as follow-up with the client to ensure satisfaction of services

  • Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals to clients, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, and coordinating customer service requirements as appropriate.

This position requires excellent leadership and planning skills, multi-tasking skills, strong communication skills, decision making skills, and ability to work under pressure. The right candidate will have a valuable understanding and experience in the floral and event industry.

The position also involves working with the team to ensure that all weddings and events are executed correctly from beginning to end, resolving issues to ensure a continuing high quality of events and unwavering client/customer satisfaction. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of design trends to continually improve sales strategies and promote the achievement of goals.

Perform other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the Founder from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. Fluency in Spanish is a plus and must have own transportation.*
