EVENT PRODUCTION MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
A luxury floral and event design company seeking an event manager to work in a high paced environment, leading the design team to execute events throughout the Washington, DC area. We are seeking a professional and reliable candidate with excellent communication, decision making & leadership skills. We want to see enthusiastic & passionate candidates with fresh ideas and organizational skills required to provide a luxury experience.
Experience working in the floral & events industry is required.
Your day to day
As Event Manager you’ll act as both an ambassador for DBO and trusted partner to manage and connect the internal team to deliver a seamless experience for our clients and vendor partners.
Responsibilities include:

Serves as principal liaison for all event participants such as, but not limited to clients, planners, vendors, caterers and staff.

Be the point person to manage and guide the team to execute events successfully.

Provide creative suggestions to enhance the event’s success.

Participates in site visits to determine requirements needed for the DBO team to execute the event successfully.

Works to ensure proper communication is passed along to the team regarding each event to ensure flawless execution of floral designs & decor.

Supervises, manages, trains and evaluates appropriate staff in the production of all events.

This role will coordinate staffing and other logistics, and follow up on post-event details with the client to ensure satisfaction of services.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
This position requires excellent leadership, problem solving, multi-tasking, strong communication, decision making , and the ability to work under pressure. The right candidate will have valuable knowledge and experience in the floral and event industry.
The position also involves working with the DBO team to ensure that all weddings and events are executed efficiently from conception to execution; resolving issues to ensure high quality events and client satisfaction. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of design trends to continually improve sales strategies and promote the achievement of goals.
Perform other work related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the Founder from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. Fluency in Spanish is a plus and must have own transportation.*
